Following a review of national planning policy and recent appeal decisions, Elmbridge Borough Council will not defend its refusal of outline planning permission for housing on land west of Woodstock Lane, North Ditton. The appeal will be determined independently by the Planning Inspectorate with a public inquiry scheduled for January 2027.
